Job Title: SEN 1:1 Learning Support Assistant andndash; Speech, Language and Communication Support

Pay: andpound;89.05 - andpound;110 per day
Contract:andnbsp;Full-time/ Long termandnbsp; (8:30 andndash; 15:30)

Supply desk is currently working with a small welcoming school in Brighton looking for a caring and supporting LSA to join them on a long-term basis.
This role is a part time role supporting a reception aged child with SLCN during school hours.
Your role:
- Deliver 1:1 support to a pupil with SLCN, working closely with teachers, the SENCo and speech therapists in line with their EHCP.
- Facilitate social interactions and help the pupil express their thoughts
- Be able to model correct language and speech sounds, use repetitions and expand on what pupils say.
- Check pupilandrsquo;s understanding of new words and concepts through various strategies, like using visual aids and asking clarifying questions.
- Break down instructions and information into manageable chunks to aid comprehension.
About you:
- Have experience in working with children with Speech, Language and Communication needs
- Patient, reliable and nurturing approach
- Hold a Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable but not required)
- Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding
