Semi Skilled Workshop Technician

Our client, a leading manufacturing client based in Newcastle, are looking to recruit a Semi Skilled Technician to join the business initially on a 12 month fixed term basis due to business growth.

The successful candidates will be responsible for supporting production with Rigging, slinging and lifting of equipment within Production areas.

Candidates will hold a full UK Driving license, Forklift license- (16T FLT desirable), Crane license and Slinging & Lifting qualifications. - Candidates without transferable certs will not be considered

Hours

Monday – Thursday – 6:30am to 3:00pm / Friday – 6:30am – 12:00pm

Any OT worked over 37.5 hours per week are paid at premium rates to boost earnings

Key Responsibilities:

• Rigging, slinging and lifting of equipment within Production areas.
• Responsible for general workshop housekeeping duties. E.g. sweeping up, floor cleaning, bin emptying, etc.
• Assisting production techs in daily duties.
• Local driving duties to drop off and pick up items.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Full UK Driving License
• Forklift license essential - 16T FLT licence desirable
• Crane license essential.
• Slinging & Lifting qualifications
