Semi-Skilled Mechanical Fitter

We have an exciting opportunity for a Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter based in Bedford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. Summary of the Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter role Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Location: Bedford Type of Contract: Permanent Hours: 37.5 hours Monday Thursday 8.15am-4.45pm Friday 8.15am-1.45pm Responsibilities of the Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter Pressure testing of various pump components in line with production scheduleFettling of small and large pump components and impellers using a variety of handheld power toolsUse overhead cranes and forklift trucks to move large and heavy itemsLoading/unloading of vehiclesSub-assembly of components, fettling or painting process Requirements for a successful Semi Skilled Mechanical Fitter Experience working in a similar mechanical assembly environmentExperience in working to production deadlinesPressure testing experienceExperience in reading engineering drawings, manufacturing and quality check listsExperience in completion of manufacturing and check list paperworkQualified overhead crane user and forklift user About Allstaff RecruitmentWe re an independent recruitment specialist based in Bedfordshire, supporting businesses across Bedford, Milton Keynes, and surrounding areas.
