Semi Skilled Engineer

Semi-Skilled EngineerES Recruit are recruiting for a Semiskilled Engineer to join an established manufacturing business. This is a varied, hands-on position working within the production/shop floor team, supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities and helping to maintain high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.Who the role would suitThis role would suit someone with a basic engineering or manufacturing background who is comfortable using workshop machinery and hand tools. You should have a practical, proactive approach, be able to work from technical drawings and be happy carrying out a variety of duties across the shop floor. A City and Guilds Level 1 or 2 in Engineering would be beneficial, along with a basic understanding of mechanical assembly.Key ResponsibilitiesOperating drills, bandsaws and welding equipmentCarrying out machine cleaning and general factory maintenance tasksSupporting basic mechanical and assembly workReading and interpreting engineering drawingsLiaising with supervisors to understand production requirementsMaintaining a clean, safe and organised working environmentManual handling of materials and components up to 25kgSupporting continuous improvement across the production departmentEnsuring work is completed safely and to the required quality standards Salary: 30,000 Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm / Friday 7:30am - 11:30am Holidays: 33 days Benefits: Company pension / Sick scheme after qualifying period / Attendance bonus Cycle ..... full job details .....
