Semi-Skilled AssemblerLocation: Basildon, EssexPay Rate: 16.49 per hour ( 33,441 per annum)Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:00 / Friday 07:30-12:30 We are currently recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Assembler to join a leading aerospace manufacturer based in Basildon. This is a hands-on, precision engineering role working on aircraft components to customer-defined specifications and aerospace quality standards. As a Semi-Skilled Assembler you will be responsible for the assembly and finishing of sheet metal and structural components, using a range of hand tools, air tools, and specialist measuring equipment. DutiesAssemble aircraft components to engineering drawings and specificationsCarry out solid riveting using hand and air riveting toolsUse air tools including drills, rivet guns, and rivet pressesAdjust and fit sheet metal parts during assemblyApply sealants as requiredPerform visual inspection of completed productsUse Verniers, calipers and other precision measuring toolsMaintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping Skills and ExperienceExperience gained in aerospace or precision engineering assembly preferableExperience in sheet metal work and solid riveting would be beneficialCurrent experience using air tools (drills, rivet guns, rivet presses)Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specificationsExperience working with different materials and finishesGood attention to detail and quality-focused mindsetGood problem-solving skills, able ..... full job details .....
