MERITUS are recruiting for a Semi-Skilled Aircraft Fitter to join a major aerospace prime in Filton on an initial 12 month contract to support existing programmes. SEMI-SKILLED AIRCRAFT FITTER - INSIDE IR35 - £25.62 PER HOUR - 25% UPLIFT FOR OVERTIME - 50% UPLIFT FOR WEEKENDS - 12 MONTHS - FILTON - MUST HAVE NVQ 2 OR ABOVE - MONDAY TO THURSDAY - A400M CORE HOURS: Monday to Thursday 6:30 to 3:45 SKILLED APPRENTICE BACKGROUND START DATE: 04/10/2026 Responsibilities Work from engineering instructions and understand Aircraft Drawings Complete tasks to the required standards General tasks include the use of power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing 1 party certification will be required following successful completion of the relevant courses You may need to work in a confined space (tank work), which includes restricted and physically demanding wing access and egress through oval shaped manholes Skill Set Essential Self-motivation with good communication skills An ability to work alone or as part of a team An openness to continuous improvement processes and new ways of working Knowledge and a high regard for Health and Safety standards ..... full job details .....
