Semi Senior Accountant - growing regional practice £26,000 - £30,000 DOE Chelmsford, Essex An established and reputable independent accountancy practice based on the outskirts of Chelmsford is looking to recruit an Accounts Semi-Senior to support the firm''s continued growth. This role offers a great opportunity to work closely with a varied and interesting portfolio of both SME and larger corporate businesses as well as to gain audit experience if this is something of interest. The firm places strong emphasis on relationships, quality, and long-term client partnerships, making this an excellent route to develop both your technical ability and client-facing experience within a supportive environment. The Role Working as part of a close-knit team, you will take responsibility for assisting with, and in some cases managing, a portfolio of clients, delivering a broad range of compliance and accounting services. Key responsibilities will include: Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies (FRS 102 Section 1A) Drafting corporation tax computations and CT600s for review and submission Supporting with monthly and quarterly management accounts Completion and submission of quarterly VAT returns Supporting bookkeeping requirements using cloud-based accounting software such as XERO, Quickbooks and Sage Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and support their ongoing business needs Building trusted, professional ..... full job details .....
