Semi Senior Accountant

An established independent accountancy practice in Barnsley is looking to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant to join its growing team. Working with a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses, you will be responsible for preparing accounts, supporting clients with their accounting requirements and building long term client relationships. The role will include:Preparation of statutory accounts for limited companiesAccounts preparation for sole traders and partnershipsSupporting clients with bookkeeping and accounting queriesAssisting clients with Making Tax Digital requirementsLiaising directly with clients and responding to day to day queriesWorking closely with senior staff and partners on client assignmentsThe successful candidate will ideally have:Previous experience within an accountancy practiceExperience preparing accounts for limited company clientsGood communication and client relationship skillsAAT qualified, ACCA studying or qualified by experienceThe ability to manage workloads and meet deadlinesThe firm offers:Salary from c.£25,000 to £33,000 depending on experienceACCA study support through an accredited training practicePension scheme28 days annual leave including a Christmas shutdownFriendly and supportive working environmentLong term career development opportunitiesIPS Finance has 45 years'' experience in the Yorkshire accountancy recruitment market.
