Job Title: Semi-Senior AccountantLocation: Cottingham, near Beverley (East Yorkshire)About the RoleThis is an opportunity to join a well-established and friendly accountancy practice of approximately 15 staff, providing tailored services to a wide range of small business clients.The role is ideal for an experienced practice accountant looking to step into a varied position, combining client management, technical work, and mentoring responsibilities. Sitting between the senior leadership team and junior staff, you will play a key role in reviewing work, managing client relationships, and supporting the development of trainees.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging a portfolio of approximately 40 clients across a range of industries.Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, VAT returns, CIS submissions, and payroll.Reviewing work completed by junior staff and AAT trainees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Acting as a key point of contact for clients, dealing with day-to-day queries and providing ongoing support.Assisting with the training and development of junior team members.Supporting clients with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements and accounting software implementation.RequirementsExperiencePrevious experience working within an accountancy practice.Strong knowledge of year-end accounts, VAT, CIS, payroll, corporation tax, and personal tax.Experience managing client relationships and reviewing work is advantageous.QualificationsACA, ..... full job details .....
