Semi Senior Accountant- - Accountancy Practice

Hyde Accountancy is a growing UK accountancy practice based in Harlow, providing accounting, tax and business advisory services to a wide range of clients including SMEs, property investors and international businesses. Due to business growth, we are looking for an experienced Mandarin speaking accountant to join our team. Duties Prepare and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms. Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded. Handle VAT returns Prepare self assessment tax returns Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal policies. Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on financial procedures. Liaise with HMRC and Companies House Support clients with accounting and tax related queries Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information at all times. Qualifications Proven experience as an Accountant within a financial services environment or similar sector. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent systems. Good knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Experience preparing limited company accounts Mandarin speaking is desirable but not essential. Effective mentoring skills with the ability to support team development.
