Tutor - SEMH/SENStanley area - DH9English, Maths and Science (Engagement focused) Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced SEMH/SEN Tutors to deliver targeted one-to-one and small group support to Key Stage 3 and 4 students in the Stanley, Durham area.The learners are currently not attending full-time school due to Special Educational needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.We regularly support students who are currently outside of mainstream education due to a range of complex needs and barriers to learning. These students may experience challenges with emotional regulation, behaviour, cognitive flexibility, social communication and interaction, sensory processing, and anxiety, which can significantly impact their ability to engage in education Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver 1:1 SEN/SEMH tutoring sessionPlan and adapt lessons to bridge learning gaps and build core English, Maths and Science skills.Help to engage the student and assist with regulating their emotions in a positive way during the sessions.Create a calm, safe, and encouraging learning environment.Monitor and record progress, attendance, and engagement.Provide regular feedback to parents, carers, and the Prospero Teaching team.
