SEMH Tutor

Location: Nantwich
Pay: £30 per hour (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Part-time, long-term

Vision for Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and qualified SEMH Tutor to support secondary-aged students in the Nantwich area who need additional help accessing education.

This is a rewarding and opportunity, ideal for experienced teachers or skilled tutors who are confident working independently and can adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

The role involves delivering personalised 1:1 sessions in Maths and English, helping students overcome barriers to learning and work towards achieving their academic goals.

The ideal SEMH Tutor will be flexible in their approach, depending on student needs, and must be able to build positive, trusting relationships to support confidence and engagement.

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, TEFL, TESOL, BA Ed etc.)
  • Experience working with SEND pupils
  • Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum
  • Commitment to regular, scheduled tutoring sessions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and learner-centred teaching style
