SEMH Teaching AssistantKirkham, LancashireSpecialist SEMH College CentrePart-time - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Term-time Agency RoleWe are recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEMH College Centre in Kirkham for a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to work 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs while benefiting from a consistent part-time schedule.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needsSupport learners to re-engage with education, routines, and emotional regulationAssist teaching staff with lesson delivery and differentiated activitiesApply positive behaviour support and de-escalation strategiesSupport students both academically and emotionallyHelp maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environmentRequirementsExperience working with SEMH, challenging behaviour, or additional needs(schools, colleges, PRUs, care, youth work, or similar settings)Calm, patient, and resilient approachStrong communication and relationship-building skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a wider support teamTA qualification desirable but not essentialEnhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)What We OfferCompetitive weekly agency payFixed part-time schedule: Tuesday to ThursdayOngoing support from a dedicated education consultantAccess to training and CPD opportunitiesLong-term placement with ..... full job details .....
