SEMH Teaching Assistant - NottinghamAre you experienced in supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs?Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking patient and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistants to work across primary schools in Nottingham and the surrounding areas.Roles may involve supporting pupils with emotional regulation, anxiety, attachment difficulties, challenging behaviour, low confidence or barriers to engaging successfully with learning.We are interested in hearing from candidates with backgrounds in Teaching Assistant work, behaviour support, pastoral support, mentoring, ELSA or similar roles working with vulnerable children.ResponsibilitiesProviding individual and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needsHelping pupils develop emotional regulation and coping strategiesBuilding positive and consistent relationships with vulnerable pupilsSupporting positive behaviour and engagement with learningUsing appropriate de-escalation and behaviour-support strategiesDelivering mentoring, wellbeing or social-skills interventionsSupporting pupils with confidence, resilience and independenceWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams and familiesSupporting successful reintegration into classroom learning where requiredRequirementsPrevious experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needsExperience within education, pastoral support, behaviour mentoring, ELSA or youth work is highly desirableA calm, patient and ..... full job details .....
