SEMH Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to join schools across the Gainsborough area. You''ll be supporting children and young people from KS1 to KS5 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them access education, build resilience, and achieve their potential.This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference-helping students develop confidence, manage their emotions, and thrive in a structured and supportive environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEMH needsSupport pupils'' social, emotional, and behavioural developmentAssist with delivering differentiated lessons and learning activitiesImplement behaviour management strategies and individual learning targetsPromote independence and build positive relationships with studentsWork collaboratively with teachers, specialist staff, and support teams to enhance learning and well-beingRequirements:Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needsPatient, calm, and adaptable approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsKnowledge of behaviour management strategies and positive intervention techniquesEnhanced DBS (or willing to apply)Legal right to work in the UKWhy Join Tradewind Recruitment?Flexible full-time or part-time roles to suit your scheduleCompetitive hourly pay (£92 - £100 per day, depending on experience)Access to free CPD and safeguarding training via The National ..... full job details .....
