Behaviour Mentor Alternative Provision (SEMH) BrentAre you experienced in supporting young people with SEMH, SEBD or ASD needs? Do you have a background in managing challenging behaviour, small-group teaching, or providing 1:1 support? Do you hold Team Teach or MAPA training? If so, we would love to hear from you.We are working with a specialist Alternative Provision in Brent that supports secondary-aged pupils who have been excluded, or are at risk of exclusion, from mainstream education. The school provides a highly personalised and therapeutic learning environment for young people with complex social, emotional and mental health needs.The successful Behaviour Mentor will join a dedicated team in an outstanding setting with an international reputation for its expertise in special education, specialist curriculum design and high-quality resources.About the RoleAs a Behaviour Mentor, you will: Support secondary pupils (KS3 KS4) with SEMH, SEBD and challenging behaviour. Build strong, positive relationships with young people and staff to encourage engagement and progress. Use excellent behaviour management strategies to promote a calm, safe learning environment. Deliver or cover lessons when required, supporting pupils across a range of subjects. Work collaboratively with teachers to plan and deliver appropriate activities based on individual education plans. Assess pupils with long- or short-term learning difficulties and support colleagues in identifying individual needs. ..... full job details .....
