Do you have the patience, resilience and empathy to help students re-engage with learning and reach their potential?We are looking for a dedicated SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant to join an alternative provision secondary school in Thrapston, supporting students aged 11-16.This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.The RoleAs a SEN / SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide individualised support to students who may require additional help with their learning, behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting students aged 11-16 with a range of SEN and SEMH needs.Providing one-to-one and small-group support both inside and outside the classroom.Helping students manage their emotions and develop positive behaviours.Encouraging students to engage with learning and build confidence.Supporting students who may display challenging or dysregulated behaviour.Building positive, trusting relationships with students.Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning resources.Supporting students with their ..... full job details .....
