A welcoming two-form entry primary school in Southampton is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with additional needs throughout KS1 and 2. The schools supports children with SEMH needs by following a specialist curriculum in which you would have training and support in to deliver key activities to those children who need some extra support. andnbsp;

The Role:
- Provide group support for those children with SEMH needs
- Facilitate access to the curriculum through tailored communication strategies
- Encourage confidence, independence, and strong social connections
- Be willing to go the extra mile and support children at lunch and break times too
- Encourage all pupils to be curious, inclusive and supportive of similarities and differences
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure consistent, effective support
- Promote a positive, inclusive learning environment for all pupils
What We''re Looking For:
- Experience working with children in an educational or early year setting
- A desire to support children with trauma, mental health and other special educational needs
- An interest in working with a holistic and specialist curriculum
- A genuine willingness to learn and grow in this area
- Strong communication skills and a creative, caring, flexible approach
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children''s welfare
