Staff work collaboratively to create a calm and structured setting where every child can thrive.Duties as SEMH Teaching Assistant:Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needsAssist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies and personalised learning plansUse de-escalation techniques and maintain a calm, positive approach in challenging situationsSupport pupils social, emotional, and academic developmentMonitor and record pupil progress, reporting to the class teacher and SENCOPromote a positive and inclusive classroom environmentContribute to safeguarding and wellbeing practices across the schoolIdeal SEMH Teaching Assistant:Level 2 Team Teach certification is essentialPrevious experience working with pupils with SEMH needs in a school or PRU settingAbility to work flexibly and adapt to changing requirementsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of strategies to support emotional regulation and resilienceCommitted to promoting inclusion and safeguarding childrenWhy Step ..... full job details .....
