Position: SEMH Teaching AssistantLocation: LeicestershireAvailability: Full-timeQualification: Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience preferredPay Rate: Competitive, dependent on experienceAbout the Role:As an SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils who experience social, emotional and mental health challenges, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and other school staff to create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment where pupils feel valued, understood and encouraged to succeed.This role is ideal for someone who is patient, resilient and passionate about supporting young people with additional needs. You will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation, confidence and engagement in education.Responsibilities:Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs.Help pupils manage their emotions, develop coping strategies and build positive relationships.Support the implementation of individual learning plans and behaviour management strategies.Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and completing classroom activities.Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and social development.Build trusting relationships with pupils, offering consistent encouragement and support.Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and the wider school team to meet individual ..... full job details .....
