SEMH Teaching Assistant Alternative Provision Support Location: HounslowContract: September 2026 Are you an emotionally intelligent, flexible, and charismatic individual seeking a role supporting vulnerable children as a SEMH Teaching Assistant? A rapidly expanding Alternative Provision in Hounslow is seeking a graduate to join their team as a SEMH Teaching Assistant, working with students who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, Autism, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioural challenges. As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you ll support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups of up to six students, helping them to engage with learning and develop essential life and social skills. SEMH Teaching Assistant - Key responsibilities:Providing 1:1 and small group support for students with SEMH needsSupporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, trauma-related difficulties, and behavioural issuesAssisting teachers across a range of subjects and activitiesPromoting positive behaviour, engagement, and personal growth This SEMH Teaching Assistant role offers the chance to make a real difference to vulnerable secondary students while gaining invaluable school-based experience.
