Remedy Education are looking for a confident and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive SEMH school based in Islington.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous SEN experience who is confident supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. The school are looking for someone calm, proactive and reliable who can support students with learning, behaviour, emotional regulation and daily school routines.

Previous behaviour support experience would be highly desirable, as some students may display challenging behaviour and require consistent, positive support throughout the school day.

Pay: -100117 per day
Hours: Full-time
Start Date: ASAP / September roles available

The Role:

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Support pupils with SEMH, SEN and additional learning needs
* Work 1:1 and with small groups to encourage engagement and progress
* Support students with emotional regulation, behaviour and confidence
* Help pupils access lessons and follow daily routines
* Use calm and consistent behaviour management strategies
* Build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
* Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral staff and support teams
* Help create a safe, structured and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

* Previous SEN experience within a school or similar setting
* Behaviour support experience is highly desirable
* Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, ASD, ADHD or challenging behaviour
* A calm, patient and resilient approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Confidence working with pupils who may need additional emotional support
* A reliable, proactive and professional attitude
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one
