Teaching Assistant (SEMH Support) - Ribble ValleyStart Date: September 2026Location: Ribble Valley, LancashireHours: Monday to Friday, 09:00am - 3:00pmPay Rate: £16.35 per hourTeaching Assistant Required - KS2 SEMH SupportWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at a welcoming primary school in the Ribble Valley.This rewarding role will involve working closely with the pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them to engage positively in school life while supporting their academic progress, particularly in Maths and Literacy.The RoleProviding 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with SEMH needsDelivering targeted Maths and Literacy interventionsBuilding positive and trusting relationships with the pupilSupporting the child''s emotional regulation and wellbeing throughout the school dayEncouraging engagement, confidence and independenceWorking collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCOs and other professionalsMonitoring progress and providing feedback where requiredThe Ideal CandidateExperience working with children with SEMH, SEND, behavioural or additional needsPrevious experience within a primary school setting is desirableStrong Maths and Literacy skillsPatient, resilient and nurturing approachAbility to build positive relationships and manage challenging situations calmlyA genuine passion for supporting children to achieve their full potentialWhat We OfferCompetitive pay rate of £16.35 ..... full job details .....
