SEMH Teaching Assistant – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEMH Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working across a range of primary schools in Hillingdon and nearby areas, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.Duties as SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist with personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
- Promote emotional wellbeing and positive relationships
- Help manage classroom behaviour and transitions
- Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor pupil progress
- Uphold safeguarding and school policies consistently
- Experience supporting children with SEMH needs in UK primary schools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills as an SEMH Teaching Assistant
- Ability to build trust and rapport with pupils
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
- HLTA qualification or relevant training is desirable
- Passionate about inclusive education and pupil development
