SEND Teaching Assistant (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Pay: £100 - £110 per day
We are recruiting a committed and caring SEND Teaching Assistant to work full-time on a long-term basis at a small, supportive independent special school setting. You will work with pupils across a wide age range, from primary through secondary years, supporting learners with diverse needs, including autism, anxiety, and specific learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
Support individuals and small groups under teacher direction in both academic and pastoral capacities.
Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment, adapting resources and strategies as needed.
Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and provide clear communication with learners and colleagues.
Maintain strict adherence to safeguarding and health and safety protocols.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children with SEND (especially autism or anxiety) is advantageous.
Excellent communication skills and confidence interacting with young people and adults.
A flexible, resilient, and team-oriented mindset—prepared to embrace variety in your daily role.
A genuine passion for empowering young learners to thrive.
