Aspire People have partnered with a specialist SEN school in Lutterworth who are looking for a passionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role would suit someone who has experience supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including challenging behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties and barriers to learning. About the Role As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping pupils feel safe, supported and ready to engage with their education. Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needsSupporting pupils with emotional regulation and managing their feelingsHelping children develop positive coping and behavioural strategiesBuilding strong, trusting relationships with pupilsSupporting pupils who may display challenging or disruptive behaviourUsing positive reinforcement and consistent boundariesHelping pupils overcome barriers to learningSupporting classroom engagement and personal developmentDe-escalating difficult situations calmly and professionallyWorking closely with teachers, SEN staff and other professionalsCreating a safe, structured and nurturing environment The Ideal Candidate We''re looking for someone who: ..... full job details .....
