SEMH Teaching Assistant and Minibus Driver

We are currently looking for a SEMH Teaching Assistant and Minibus Driver to join a supportive school team, working with pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is patient, resilient and genuinely passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.The hours for this role is Monday-Friday, 8am-3pmThe Role As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will provide both educational and pastoral support to pupils, helping them to engage positively with their learning and develop their confidence, independence and social skills. Alongside your TA responsibilities, you will also be required to drive the school minibus, safely transporting pupils to and from school and supporting with educational visits and activities where required. Your responsibilities will include:Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs.Supporting pupils to engage positively with their learning.Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils.Helping pupils develop their confidence, emotional regulation and independence.Supporting the classroom teacher with activities and behaviour management.Using positive and consistent approaches to manage challenging behaviour.Maintaining a calm, safe and supportive learning environment.Driving the school minibus safely and responsibly.Supporting pupils during journeys and ensuring their wellbeing and safety at all times.Assisting with school trips and off-site ..... full job details .....
