We, Academics, are currently seeking motivated SEMH Teaching Assistants to work from September for a range of our specialised education schools primarily based in Birmingham. This particular position includes supporting young people in Key Stage 3 & 4, the students that are needing support may be looked-after children, display difficult behaviours, have SEN OR SEMH needs. The Role: Providing 1-to-1 or group support for students Supporting students gaining the confidence and interest towards education Assisting pupils with a range of additional needs which may require personal care Work closely with both the SENDCO and teacher to deliver relevant and tailored learning plans The role may include assisting with personal care, therefore candidates must be able to support the pupils personal care needs with patience and compassion.
