Do you thrive in environments where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of students who face significant barriers to education?We are recruiting for a full-time SEMH Teacher to join a well-established Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Longsight, Manchester. This role involves working with pupils who display highly challenging behaviour and require a structured, consistent, and nurturing approach to learning.ECTs are welcome to apply, provided they have relevant experience working with SEMH pupils, challenging behaviour, or alternative provision settings.The RolePlan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the individual needs of students with SEMH needs.Adapt learning materials and teaching strategies to support pupils working at varying academic levels.Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using positive behaviour management techniques.Build strong, professional relationships with students who may have experienced trauma, exclusion, or disrupted education.Support pupils'' emotional development, self-regulation, and engagement with learning.Work closely with pastoral teams, teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes.Essential RequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.Experience working ..... full job details .....
