SEND Teacher (SEMH & Challenging Behaviour)

Location: Cannock
Contract Type: Temporary
Start Date: ASAP

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist provision in Cannock supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and challenging behaviour. This is an excellent opportunity for a resilient and confident education professional who is available to start immediately.

The Role:

You will deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with SEMH and behavioural challenges. The successful candidate will:

  • Plan and deliver personalised, accessible learning programmes

  • Manage challenging behaviour using consistent and positive strategies

  • Build strong, professional relationships with pupils

  • Create a structured and safe classroom environment

  • Work closely with support staff to maintain clear routines and boundaries

  • Monitor and support pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate:

  • QTS is desirable

  • Experience working with SEMH and challenging behaviour is essential

  • Strong behaviour management skills

  • Calm, resilient and able to work under pressure

  • Available for an immediate start

This temporary position would suit a strong classroom practitioner who thrives in structured settings and is confident supporting students who require consistency and clear boundaries.
