Job description:SEMH Teacher - Specialist School Birkenhead / WirralFull Time Temp to Long Term Term Time Only 180 - 250 per day (depending on experience)We are currently seeking a passionate and resilient SEMH Teacher to join a specialist setting in the Wirral area supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding role for someone who thrives in a challenging but highly impactful environment.You will be working with pupils who may present with anxiety, trauma, behavioural needs and disengagement from education, helping them to re-engage with learning in a structured and supportive way.The role will involve:Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons for pupils with SEMH needsSupporting pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour management strategiesBuilding strong, trusting relationships to promote engagement and progressAdapting teaching approaches to meet individual learning needsWorking closely with pastoral staff, SENCOs and external professionalsCreating a safe, consistent and nurturing classroom environmentWhat we''re looking for:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or strong experience teaching SEMH pupilsExperience working with SEMH, SEN or challenging behaviourStrong behaviour management and relationship-building skillsA calm, consistent and resilient teaching approachPassion for supporting vulnerable learners and improving outcomesEnhanced DBS on the Update Service preferred - or happy to pay for a new DBS if ..... full job details .....
