SEMH Teacher - Alternative Provision

SEMH Classroom Teacher Alternative Provision Location: Bristol Pay: £168 to £232 per day Hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm Requirements: QTS required, SEMH/SEN experience helpful but not essential Looking to teach in a setting where relationships matter just as much as the lesson plan? We re working with a small and supportive Alternative Provision in Bristol that is looking for a general classroom teacher to work with pupils who need a different approach to learning. The school supports both primary and secondary aged students, many of whom have SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs Classes are small, typically 4 to 8 pupils, which means you can really focus on building trust, creating routines, and helping students reconnect with education. This role would suit a teacher who is calm, flexible, and creative in their approach, someone who enjoys thinking outside the box and understands that progress doesn t always look the same for every learner. What the role involves: • Acting as a general classroom teacher, delivering lessons across a broad curriculum • Teaching small groups of 4 to 8 pupils with varied academic abilities • Planning and adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs • Building positive routines and strong relationships with students • Working closely with a dedicated pastoral and behaviour support team • Supporting pupils who may have struggled in mainstream education to re-engage with learning About the school: This is a nurturing and ..... full job details .....
