Adapt teaching to individual needs , recognising that pupils may be working at different levels or have gaps in their education. Re-engage young people with learning through creative, practical and accessible teaching approaches. Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries. Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation using appropriate de-escalation, restorative and trauma-informed approaches. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel supported to engage, achieve and develop their confidence.
