Thrive Education is looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our team and work on a supply basis within schools and specialist settings across South Gloucestershire. We are particularly interested in hearing from Teaching Assistants who have experience supporting children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, or who have a genuine passion for working with pupils who may require additional support. The Role As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils who experience challenges with their emotional wellbeing, behaviour, social development or engagement with education. Depending on the setting and individual needs of the pupils, your responsibilities may include: Providing one-to-one and small-group support to pupils. Supporting pupils to engage positively with learning. Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people. Helping pupils manage emotions and develop appropriate coping strategies. Supporting positive behaviour and encouraging pupils to make good choices.
