Job Title: SEMH TA Location: Dinnington Pay rate: 105 Per Day Start Date: Immediate Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time Do you enjoy supporting young people who need additional help with their social, emotional, and mental health needs?GSL Education are seeking a motivated Social, Emotional and Mental Health Teaching Assistant (SEMH TA) to work with schools in Dinnington, supporting students who require guidance to manage emotions, behaviour, and engagement in learning.As an SEMH TA, you will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide targeted support, helping students develop positive coping strategies, build resilience, and access learning in a structured environment.Main Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEMH needs.Support pupils in managing behaviour and emotional regulation.Assist the teacher in maintaining a calm and positive classroom environment.Build trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement.Help implement behaviour support strategies and interventions.Monitor progress and report any concerns or improvements to staff. Requirements of SEMH TA: Previous experience working with young people, particularly those with SEMH needs, is desirable.Strong behaviour management and communication skills.A patient, resilient, and supportive approach.Ability to build positive relationships with students.A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.An Enhanced DBS on the ..... full job details .....
