SEMH Support Assistant - KS3

Location: Swinton, Salford
Contract: Full-time

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a caring, resilient and dedicated SEMH Support Assistant to join a KS3 Support Hub in Swinton, Salford.

The successful candidate will support pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, helping them to engage with learning, manage their emotions and develop positive relationships and behaviours.

The role will involve:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support

• Supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs

• Building positive and trusting relationships

• Encouraging engagement with learning

• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour

• Working closely with teaching staff to provide consistent support

• Creating a calm, safe and nurturing environment

We are looking for someone who is patient, empathetic and confident working with young people who may display challenging behaviour. Experience within education, SEMH, SEND, youth work or a similar setting is desirable, but relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
