SEMH Support Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate SEMH Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a mainstream primary school located in M9, Blackley (Manchester). This role is suited to someone who thrives on building strong relationships and supporting children to succeed both emotionally and academically.You will work closely with one pupil throughout the school day, helping them manage emotions, regulate behaviour and remain engaged in learning. The role involves offering consistent encouragement, supporting classroom routines and working alongside the class teacher and SEN team to implement individual support strategies.The ideal candidate will have prior experience supporting pupils with SEMH or challenging behaviour in a primary setting and be confident using a calm, patient and proactive approach.
