SEMH Specialist Learning Assistant - 1:1 SupportLocation: Rochester, Kent Contract: Full-time Start Date: ASAP We are currently seeking a full-time SEMH Specialist Learning Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in a mainstream primary school in Rochester, Kent. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, who can offer consistent, patient, and structured support to help the pupil engage positively with learning and school life. Key Responsibilities:Providing dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the pupil''s SEMH needsSupporting emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social developmentAssisting the pupil to access the curriculum within a mainstream classroomImplementing behaviour and support strategies as directed by the SENCOBuilding a positive and trusting relationship with the pupilWorking closely with teaching staff and external professionals Requirements:Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs (essential)Experience working 1:1 in a primary school or similar settingCalm, resilient, and nurturing approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child''s educational journey while working in a supportive school environment.
