SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support) Location: Chatham (limited public transport access) Start Date: September 2026 Hours: Full time Term-time only We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil who requires additional help with behaviour regulation and developing positive social interactions with peers.This rewarding role involves working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to create a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment that enables the pupil to thrive both academically and socially. Key Responsibilities:Provide consistent 1:1 support tailored to the pupil''s individual needsImplement behaviour strategies and support emotional regulationEncourage and facilitate positive peer interactions and social developmentAdapt learning activities to ensure engagement and accessibilityMonitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents where appropriate The Ideal Candidate Will:Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly behavioural and social needsBe patient, resilient, and empatheticDemonstrate strong communication and teamwork skillsBe proactive in supporting inclusion and positive relationshipsRemain calm and consistent in challenging situations Important Information: Due to the school''s location in Chatham, access by public transport is limited.
