About the Role:
As an SEMH SEN Teacher, you will lead tailored and engaging lessons designed to meet the complex emotional and learning needs of your pupils. Working alongside a passionate, multidisciplinary teamandmdash;including teaching assistants, therapists, and familiesandmdash;you will foster a supportive environment that encourages resilience, confidence, and academic progress.
About the Role:
- Plan and deliver personalised lessons that address the unique SEMH needs of pupils
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture that nurtures emotional wellbeing
- Monitor, assess, and adapt teaching strategies to support student progress and behaviour
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to provide holistic support
- Promote positive behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
The ideal candidate will:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching pupils with SEMH or related special educational needs
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach with excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- A passion for supporting vulnerable young people to achieve their full potential
