SEMH Secondary Teacher Location: Lancing, West Sussex Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience) Contract: Permanent Start Date: February 2026 About the Role We are seeking a passionate, resilient, and committed SEMH Secondary Teacher to join a dedicated team. You will work with students aged who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, supporting them to re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally. This role is ideal for a teacher who believes in trauma-informed practice, restorative approaches, and the power of strong relationships to transform lives. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEMH needs Create a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment Build positive relationships with pupils to promote emotional regulation and engagement Implement behaviour support plans and contribute to EHCP targets Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral staff, and external agencies Monitor progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly Maintain high safeguarding and professional standards at all times The Ideal Candidate Will Have QTS (ECTs welcome to apply!)
