Prospero Teaching are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Mentors to support students in and around Farnham, ranging from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through to Post-16 education.
As a Mentor, you will provide 1:1 support to students who need help building confidence, managing anxiety, and developing positive relationships. Your input will be vital in helping young people reintegrate into classroom settings or access alternative provision tailored to their needs.
As a Mentor, you will:
- Deliver consistent mentoring sessions (minimum 4 hours/week per student up to full time)
- Support emotional well being and personal development
- Help students re-engage with education and social environments
- Work collaboratively with schools and families to ensure holistic support
About you:
- Experience working with children or young people (education, youth work, counselling, etc.)
- Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Full time/part-time - Dependent on candidate availability.
Hours - Monday to Friday- Part time to full time
Essential & Desirable Qualifications:
- A background in youth work/ support work is highly desirable
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working within UK schools
- Experience working with learners with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiasm, compassion and positivity are essential, along with a calm nature
To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must:
- Hold right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide references upon request
- Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
