SEMH Mental Health Support Assistant - CorbyLocation: Corby, NorthamptonshireFull-Time Long-Term RoleTradewind RecruitmentTradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an SEMH Mental Health Support Assistant to join a specialist setting in Corby, working with young people who require additional support with their social, emotional and mental health needs.We are looking for someone who has a genuine interest in mental health and ideally previous experience supporting children or young people who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour, anxiety, confidence or engagement with education.This is a rewarding role for someone who is able to build strong relationships while providing the consistency, patience and boundaries that young people within an SEMH environment may need.Your Role Will Include:Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and within small groupsProviding emotional and pastoral support throughout the school dayHelping students understand and regulate their emotionsSupporting young people during periods of heightened emotion or challenging behaviourUsing positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniquesEncouraging students to engage positively with their learningHelping students develop confidence, resilience and independenceBuilding trusting and professional relationshipsProviding consistent routines and boundariesWorking alongside teachers, pastoral teams and other support professionalsContributing to a positive, safe and supportive learning ..... full job details .....
