      <description>Location: Thrapston | Salary: &amp;pound;100 - &amp;pound;110/day | Type: Contract | SEMH Learning Support Assistant    Location:  Thrapston, Northamptonshire  Job Type:  Full-time  Start Date:  ASAP       TimePlan Education  are currently recruiting for an experienced and resilient  SEMH Learning Support Assistant  to join a specialist alternative education setting in  Thrapston .  This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting young people with  SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, complex needs or emotional and behavioural difficulties .   The Role   You will be supporting young people aged 11-16 who may have experienced difficulties within mainstream education and require additional support to engage with learning.  Your responsibilities will include:    Providing 1:1 and small-group support.    Supporting pupils with SEMH and additional needs.    Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour.    Building positive and trusting relationships with young people.    Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour.    Encouraging engagement and participation in learning.
