SEMH Learning Mentor (Alternative Provision) Location: Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time (Monday to Friday) Daily Rate: £125.89 - £145.89 per day (dependent on experience) Setting: Specialist Special School and Alternative Provision (SEMH Focus) About the Role Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people''s lives? We are currently recruiting a resilient and compassionate SEMH Learning Mentor to join a vibrant special school and alternative provision setting based in Poulton-le-Fylde. This specialist setting supports children and young people experiencing a wide range of social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. In this role, you will act as a vital role model, helping pupils break down barriers to learning, regulate their emotions, and re-engage with their education. Key Responsibilities Targeted Mentoring: Deliver tailored 1-to-1 and small-group mentoring sessions to support emotional regulation and academic progress. Positive Behaviour Management: Utilise therapeutic de-escalation strategies and restorative practices to support students through challenging moments. Collaboration: Work alongside teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to monitor student development and update support plans. Building Resilience: Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where disengaged learners feel valued and encouraged to succeed.
