Role: SEMH 1:1 Mentor Location: Brighton and Hove Contract: Full-Time Start Date: September 2026 Daily Rate: £92.63 £97.50Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Brighton, who are seeking a compassionate and resilient SEMH 1:1 Mentor to join their team from September 2026. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to provide dedicated support to a pupil with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and develop positive relationships within school.About the RoleAs an SEMH 1:1 Mentor, you will work closely with a pupil on an individual basis, providing consistent emotional, behavioural, and learning support throughout the school day. You will help the pupil to engage positively with lessons, regulate emotions, follow routines, and develop the skills needed to thrive in a mainstream primary school environment.Key Responsibilities Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with SEMH needs within a primary school settingSupport emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement throughout the school dayAssist the pupil in accessing classroom learning and adapting tasks where neededBuild a positive, trusting relationship based on consistency, patience, and clear boundariesUse restorative, trauma-informed, and positive behaviour strategies where appropriateWork closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider pastoral teamPromote confidence, independence, resilience, and positive social ..... full job details .....
