Your Role andResponsibilities

This is a comprehensive, hands-on position where you will interact withboth residential and business customers. You''ll be responsible for theend-to-end installation and maintenance of telecommunications services, workingwith everything from

Full Fibre

to

Copper

and

HFC

networks.

Your daily tasks will include:

NetworkBuild-Outs

: You''ll be physically installing newtelecommunications services, which involves significant manual labour.This includes running overhead lines on utility poles, subductingprotective ducts underground, and using compressed air to "blow"new fibre optic lines through them.

CustomerInstallations

: You will be the point of contact for ourcustomers, performing internal cabling within their premises and ensuringthe final activation and testing of new services are completed to thehighest standard.

NetworkMaintenance

: You''ll be working directly with live networkinfrastructure, including cabinets, underground ducts, and poles. Thisincludes identifying and clearing small blockages and completing minornetwork extensions as needed.

Qualityand Safety

: You will be responsible for completingsite-specific risk assessments, adhering to stringent health and safetyprotocols, and ensuring all equipment—from power tools to testequipment—meets safety standards. You''ll also perform minor restorationwork, such as garden repairs, to leave the work site in pristinecondition.

Reportingand Administration

: You''ll use internal systems,stage jobs, and document all changes and updates. You must ensure allworkflow requirements are submitted in a timely manner.

Qualifications

:You must be

NRSWA SLG

and

PIA Accredited . Knowledge of bothoverhead and underground infrastructure on the PIA network is essential.Accreditations such as A001, S8, SA051C, SA002, SA007, S7, N022, SA020, N037,K008 highly desirable.

TechnicalSkills

: You should have a sound practical knowledgeof various telecommunication networks and be proficient in using a rangeof power tools (e.g., drills, Stihl saws, compressors). Basic IT skillsand the ability to use mobile apps for job management are also required.

Communicationand Customer Care
