About the Role
This temporary Security Vetting Analyst post with Manpower UK sits at Inverness Retail Park, paying up to £14.00 hourly. Working 37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday, between 8am and 6pm, the successful candidate processes personnel background checks for Capgemini. Duties include running vetting and clearance procedures for staff and contractors, managing periodic reviews, examining investigation reports and advising managers, plus keeping precise clearance records. Liaison with internal colleagues and government bodies forms part of the job. In this role, you will be responsible for processing personnel security background checks on staff working for the organisation.
What you''ll do
- Conduct security vetting and clearance processes for employees and contractors
- Manage ongoing security clearance reviews for existing employees and contractors
- Analyse security clearance investigation reports, making recommendations to management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date security clearance records and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and government agencies to ensure compliance with security clearance policies and procedures
- Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations related to security vetting and clearance processes
What you''ll bring
- The successful candidate will be required to undertake UK Government National Security Vetting at SC level. Police vetting at a minimum of NPPV2/CTC would be desirable.
- Experience in administrative or process-based work, with the ability to manage tasks accurately and efficiently. Training will be provided to develop role-specific knowledge.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess information and make informed decisions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately. Support and guidance will be provided on relevant policies and procedures.
