Department: Facilities Location: East London Type of Contract: Permanent The working days and hours for this role are: Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5:30 pm Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 gross per annum Our Vision: Changing Lives through Education The Role: The Security Supervisor is responsible for leading the security shifts across GBS campus, to ensure the safety, security, wellbeing of staff, students and visitors. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on security duties, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, internal policies, and industry best practice. The postholder will also act as the first point of escalation for incidents, coordinate emergency responses, and maintain a welcoming yet secure campus environment. What the role involves: Lead, motivate, mentor and supervise a team of Security Officers, ensuring adherence to schedules, quality standards, and operational procedures. Oversee the daily deployment and provide supervision of security personnel across the campus, ensuring all shifts are adequately staffed. Assist Facilities Manager in all duties related to buildings, assets, staff, students, visitors security Monitor and operate security systems including CCTV (limited), Access Control, Fire and intruder alarms; ensure prompt response to activations, faults, and incidents.
