Security Operations Engineer - £500/day via Umbrella - 6 Month Contract - London - Hybrid - SCC Flex Contract We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Engineer to join a leading organisation''s IT Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Security Operations Engineer with strong Microsoft security expertise to play a key role in security operations, incident response, and continuous improvement within a hybrid SOC environment. The successful Security Operations Engineer will work closely with internal teams and external security partners to enhance security capabilities and operational resilience. Your responsibilities as the Security Operations Engineer: Manage Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR/XDR), and other security monitoring platforms.Work with outsourced security providers to effectively manage incidents and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are completed.Review, develop and enhance security operational procedures, playbooks and processes.Lead security incident investigations and coordinate response activities across stakeholders.Ensure incidents are contained, eradicated and resolved effectively.Conduct root cause analysis and lead lessons learned reviews following security incidents.Manage and improve security technologies including: Microsoft Defender XDRMicrosoft SentinelIdentity and Access Management (IAM) Support the implementation of new security capabilities, tooling and projects. ..... full job details .....
